Albion Finch is the husband of Philippa Finch.
History[]
1813 Social Season[]
Albion came to the Featherington house during the 1813 social season to call on Philippa, surprising the family. Later, at Lady Trowbridge's party, Albion and Philippa danced. However, later that night, Lord Featherington said something to Albion that put him off Philippa, leaving her heartbroken and confused.[1]
After Lord Featherington won a large sum of money, Finch took a renewed interest in Philippa. At Daphne and Simon's ball, the two of them danced.[2]
Start of the 1814 Social Season[]
At Lady Danbury's ball, Albion's parents asked Lady Featherington about Philippa's dowry. Later, Albion read Lady Whistledown and laughed after reading the way she used plant puns to belittle.[3]
Wedding[]
Albion married Philippa in a small ceremony with just their immediate family present.[4]
After their wedding, they spent a lot of time with Philippa's family.[5]
Producing an Heir[]
Portia pressured Albion and Philippa to produce an heir to secure their family's claim on the title. However, she found out that Albion and Philippa weren't actually having sex and were unaware that what they were doing wouldn't produce an heir. After talking to Portia, Philippa and Albion finally had penetrative sex.[6] Albion attended the hot air balloon debut and the Innovations Ball with Philippa and her family. At the ball, Philippa felt suddenly ill and had to leave.[7]
Penelope's Engagement[]
When Penelope and Colin got engaged, it was reported in Lady Whistledown, which Harry and Albion read aloud to the Featheringtons that morning, shocking them.[8]
When Portia started to plan Colin and Penelope's wedding, Albion tried to console Philippa, who was jealous of Penelope for getting such fancy things.[9]
As the wedding approached, Philippa commented that Prudence wasn't insulting her like she used to, leading to Philippa starting to believe she was clever. Albion said she was, but Philippa knew she wasn't and was commenting on the change in Prudence's behavior.[10]
Ball[]
Prudence and Philippa decided to throw a ball, which Harry and Albion supported. Since they were unable to afford a lot, they worried that what Mrs. Varley put together wouldn't have all the things they wanted. But when the two couples entered, they were delighted to see everything they'd asked for. They thanked Portia, believing she must have paid for everything.
The queen came to the ball and prompted Penelope to address the crowd and identify herself as Lady Whistledown. After her speech, couples started to dance, including Albion and Philippa.
Later, Philippa gave birth to their first child, a girl they named Philomena.[11]
Relationships[]
Romantic[]
Albion Finch came to the Featheringtons' house to court Philippa Featherington. However, because of their lack of a dowry due to gambling, her father made up a rumor about Philippa and told it to Finch so he would stop courting her, leaving Philippa heartbroken. After Lord Featherington won a significant amount of money from rigging a fight, they continued their courtship.[2]
They later married in a small ceremony with just their immediate family present.[4]
They have one child together, Philomena[11]
