Charles Cho is a bachelor who attempted to woo Eloise Bridgerton.
History[]
Lady Danbury's Ball[]
At Lady Danbury's ball, the first of the season, Lord Cho approached Eloise and offered to accompany her to get some lemonade. She showed him that her dance card for the night was already full. Later that evening, he was part of the group of men who thanked Anthony for announcing his intent to find a wife that season, as it drew the ladies' attention away from the other men. He also tried to woo Edwina Sharma, but was scared away by her sister, Kate.[1]
Anthony and Edwina's Wedding[]
Cho attended Anthony and Edwina's wedding. When it was abruptly called off in the middle of the ceremony, Cho and Lord Fife were unhappy about how that might affect their own seasons.[2]
Avoiding Lady Danbury[]
Lord Cho encountered Lady Danbury during his afternoon promenade. Lady Danbury greeted him, but Lord Cho ignored her due to the scandal surrounding Anthony and Edwina's relationship.[3]
Four Seasons Ball[]
At Lady Danbury's Four Seasons Ball the next season, he approached the newly debuted Francesca Bridgerton and asked her to dance, an offer she accepted.[4]
Hot Air Balloon[]
Lord Cho attended the hot air balloon debut. He listened to Lord Hawkins give a presentation on the technology. Lord Remington felt the technology useless, saying sailing ships could make it all the way to the Americas, while Lord Cho added that you could also steer a ship, so he failed to see its use.[5]
Betrothal[]
When he got engaged to Emma Kenworthy, Minister Hughes announced it and when there was no objection, said they'd be married in two weeks.[6]
Dankworth Finch Ball[]
Lord Cho attended the Dankworth Finch Ball, where Penelope shocked everyone by revealing that she was Lady Whistledown and also pleaded for their forgiveness, promising to aim her quill more responsibly. Once she was finished, the queen said she appeared humbled, leading the way for the ton to forgive her.[7]
Relationships[]
Romantic[]
At Lady Danbury's ball, he tried to engage with both Eloise Bridgerton and Edwina Sharma. Neither relationship progressed, however, because the former said her dance card was full and the latter's sister scared him off.[8]
He later got engaged to Emma Kenworthy[6]
