Farmer Crosby is a farmer who has worked with the king.
History[]
Farmer Crosby met with King George III, who tried to sell Crosby a horse. He said that two horses could do the work of a team of oxen. Crosby said that he was used to the old ways and liked the predictability of oxen.
Later, King George showed Crosby the horse working and how well it did. When George mentioned that he'd worked up an appetite, Crosby offered to fetch some bread or soup for him, but he said he thought he'd go dine with his wife.
