History[]

1813 Social Season[]

Gregory was present when his family had Simon Basset over to dine with them. At the dinner, he flung his peas at Hyacinth, annoying her.[1]

Gregory attended a picnic with his family, where he played while his older siblings socialized.[2]

While their family discussed Daphne's social prospects, Hyacinth and Gregory played together on the sitting room floor.[3]

When Daphne came home from meeting with the queen and the prince, she passed Gregory, who was playing marbles.[4]

When Daphne became engaged, Gregory attended her wedding to Simon. At the reception, he and Hyacinth played. After the reception was over, the whole family went to see Daphne off. Gregory asked to go with Daphne to live in a castle. Hyacinth said that if anyone should go, it should be her. Colin and Benedict then said none of them would be going until Daphne allowed it.[5]

At an event, Gregory and Hyacinth were playing together when Colin called everyone's attention and announced that he was engaged to Marina.[6]

In the wake of the revelation that Marina was pregnant, her engagement to Colin was abruptly called off. In order to save face, Daphne returned to town with Simon and they attended the queen's luncheon with the rest of the family to show their support. Their mother was especially pleased to have her family together again.[7]

One day, as the family spent time together in the sitting room, Gregory played cards with Hyacinth. When they learned Francesca would be returning home soon, Gregory commented on how much she'd missed in the time she was gone. Later, when Francesca had returned and Simon and Daphne were visiting, Hyacinth asked if he had an extra horse she could have. He asked if she'd settle for a pony and folded it for her out of paper. When Gregory pointed out it was just paper, Simon feigned shock.

The family later saw Colin off as he prepared to travel. Gregory asked him to bring back a gift.[8]

Eloise's Debut[]

On the day Eloise was meant to be presented to the queen, Gregory, along with his siblings and mother, waited outside her room while she got ready. When she emerged, she warned them all not to say anything. Later, Gregory danced with Eloise so she could practice, but she repeatedly stepped on his feet.[9]

Colin's Return[]

When Colin returned from his travels, his siblings greeted him happily. Hyacinth told him that she was two inches taller than Gregory, a claim Gregory denied.[10]

Trip to Aubrey Hall[]

Gregory accompanied his family on their annual trip to Aubrey Hall.[11]

Anthony and Edwina's Wedding[]

Gregory was intrigued about the idea of Edwina living with them after she and Anthony were married.[12] He then attended the wedding with her family, but Edwina called the wedding off when she realized that Anthony and Kate had feelings for each other.[13]

Harmony Ball[]

The Bridgerton family threw a ball after Edwina and Anthony called off their wedding, but no one attended except the Sharmas and Lady Danbury. Anthony decided to dance anyway and called Hyacinth to dance with him. Gregory was with her on the balcony when she was summoned and said that if she was to dance, so was he. Lady Danbury called for him to wow her with his dancing skills after his lessons and Eloise pitched in that he was much better than she was.[14]

Bonding With Anthony[]

Late one night, when Gregory's Latin tutor yelled at him and called him stupid, Gregory sought solace in Anthony, who was still up and in his office. Anthony asked if he should be in bed and Gregory replied that he couldn't sleep. Anthony comforted him and said that he had been too hard on him and that he was sorry. Gregory then asked if he was anything like his father or if he was more like Anthony. Anthony replied that he was like his father in the sense that they both loved a good prank. Anthony and Gregory stared at a picture of their father and Anthony said that he was sorry that he did not know much of his father or what it meant to be a father, as Anthony covered everything a father would in a household. Anthony pulled Gregory closer to him and hugged him.

After Anthony and Kate returned from traveling, they joined the family to play Pall-Mall while Gregory and Hyacinth played with Kate's dog, Newton, and chased him.[15]

Francesca's Debut and Colin's Return[]

On the day of Francesca's debut, Gregory and the rest of the family pressed their ears to her door to check on her, but were unable to hear anything. Eventually, they figured out she wasn't in the room at all and was instead playing piano.

As they left to go to the debut, they ran into Colin, who had just returned from his travels. Colin rode in a carriage with Gregory, Anthony, and Benedict and caught up with him, though much of their chatter went over Gregory's head.

When they returned home, Colin gave his siblings the gifts he'd found for them during his travels. For Gregory, that was a bow and arrows, which Anthony told him to take outside where their mother couldn't see.[16]

Playing Cards[]

Gregory, Hyacinth, Benedict, and Colin sat down to play cards. Colin decided to sit out a hand and left the other three playing.[17]

Hot Air Balloon[]

When he heard Lord Hawkins was presenting a hot air balloon, Gregory climbed onto the roof hoping to get a glimpse of it, but fell off before he could even see it, injuring his right arm. At the debut, Gregory declared that he wanted to be a balloonist one day, which Hyacinth corrected to aeronaut.[18]

Francesca's Callers[]

In anticipation of Lord Samadani calling on Francesca, a maid had their cook prepare mille-feuille. Violet had to stop Gregory from sampling it.[19]

Betrothal Party[]

Gregory was pleased that Colin got engaged to Penelope, though disappointed that his brother would be getting married before they could go to a tavern together. Gregory then attended the betrothal party, where he and Hyacinth invited Nicky Mondrich to play with them.[20]

Gregory, Hyacinth, and Benedict were fighting over macarons when Francesca called their attention to her to announce that she and John were getting married. The whole family hugged and celebrated.[21]

Colin and Penelope's Wedding[]

Gregory attended Colin and Penelope's wedding.[22]

Francesca and John's Wedding and Departure[]

Gregory attended Francesca and John's wedding at Bridgerton House.

Months later, Gregory read Colin's book. After he finished, Benedict took it from him and questioned if he was even old enough to read it. Gregory insisted he was.[23]

A verifiable, though lovable, terror with a heart of gold, Gregory is constantly teasing his little sister Hyacinth, who he lives to vex.
