Kitty attended a party thrown by Lady Danbury for the married ladies of the ton. At the party, the ladies all drank and gambled. Daphne also attended the party and took the opportunity to ask Kitty if her husband, the general, would be able to get her information on one of his men, Marina Thompson's missing love. Kitty said Daphne would have to ask her husband, who was rarely home. She suggested that Daphne write to him and ask him.
