Lady Stowell is the mother of Dolores Stowell.
History[]
Lady Stowell presented her daughter, Dolores, to the queen. Dolores, like all the other debutantes, failed to impress the queen.[1]
At a ball, Lady Stowell was delighted when her daughter danced with Benedict Bridgerton and the two of them watched him after the dance.[2]
Despite Benedict's continued efforts to avoid speaking with them, Lady and Dolores Stowell continued to pursue him at social gatherings.[3]
When Cressida Cowper, who had recently claimed credit for being Lady Whistledown, showed up at the Mondrich party, Lady Stowell warned her daughter to stay away from her. They all watched as the queen summoned Cressida, who had footmen deliver a note indicating that Lady Whistledown would soon return with a full column.[4]
Lady Stowell attended the Dankworth-Finch Ball, where Penelope Bridgerton shocked everyone by revealing that she was Lady Whistledown and also pleaded for their forgiveness, promising to aim her quill more responsibly. Once she was finished, the queen said she appeared humbled, leading the way for the ton to forgive her.[5]
