Lord Fife is one of Anthony Bridgerton's friends.
History[]
Thanking Anthony[]
Outside Lady Danbury's ball, the first of the season, Fife was among the group of men who thanked Anthony for declaring his intent to find a wife that season as it took the ladies' attention off the rest of the men. Despite this, he attempted to woo Edwina Sharma, but was scared away by her sister, Kate.[1]
Hearts and Flowers Ball[]
Lord Fife attended the Bridgertons' annual Hearts and Flowers ball. At the ball, he was among the group who came into the orangery, led by Portia Featherington, and found Jack Featherington there alone with Prudence Featherington. Jack claimed nothing untoward had happened, that he was just there to meet Fife, but Fife quickly stated that he didn't know anything about it, forcing Jack to offer his hand in married to Prudence to preserve her honor.[2]
Anthony and Edwina's Wedding[]
Fife attended Anthony and Edwina's wedding. When it was abruptly called off in the middle of the ceremony, Fife and Lord Cho were unhappy about how that might affect their own seasons.[3]
Promenade[]
Lord Fife encountered Lady Danbury and the Bridgertons during his afternoon promenade.[4]
Featherington Ball[]
Lord Fife was in a romantic relationship with Margaret Goring. During a ball, two men gossiped about Lord Fife and Margaret being in a closet for 20 minutes.
Outside, Lord Fife asked Colin whether he was courting Penelope, since the two of them were dancing. Colin told Lord Fife and several other men that he would never dream of courting Penelope.[5]
Four Seasons Ball[]
At Lady Danbury's Four Seasons Ball, Fife and a few other gentlemen talked to Francesca Bridgerton, asking her about her hobbies. She told them she played pianoforte. When they tried to get her to expand on that, she excused herself.[6]
Going Out[]
Lord Fife went out with Lord Wilding, Lord Stanton, and Colin Bridgerton. They shared salacious stories of their travels and tried to get Colin to share some of his own, but he had grown tired of their cavalier attitudes toward love and asked if it didn't make them feel lonely. They all laughed.
Fife was later leaving a ball with Wilding and Stanton when they ran into Colin. They told him the ball wasn't worth it and invited him to come to White's with them, insulting Will's bar. Colin simply brushed past them and went inside.[7]
Relationships[]
Romantic[]
Lord Fife was in a romantic relationship with Margaret Goring and was rumored to have spent 20 minutes in a closet with her.[5] However, this relationship must have ended because at the start of the next season, she was still seeking a husband and he a wife.[6]
