Lord Greer met with Lady and Cressida Cowper to arrange a marriage between Cressida and himself. At the meeting, he said that Cressida would be a reflection of him as his wife, which meant she'd wear somber clothing and they'd attend no more than one ball per month and only if the hosts were of good moral character. He promised she wouldn't be exposed to art and music as he found them scandalous. He also said he expected children and would be happy with four or five.[1]
Lord Greer rescinded his offer of marriage after Cressida claimed to be Lady Whistledown.[2]
