Meeting Penelope[]
Lord Remington was at a ball when he met Penelope Featherington. She was initially disinterested in him when he started talking about the gossip, but warmed to him when he mentioned reading Lady Whistledown. They talked about Whistledown, and then he asked her to call on him the next day. However, soon after that, a rumor spread throughout the room that Colin Bridgerton was helping Penelope find a husband, causing a scandal.[1]
Hot Air Balloon[]
Lord Remington attended the hot air balloon debut. He listened to Lord Hawkins give a presentation on the technology, but said he felt the technology useless because sailing ships could make it all the way to the Americas, while Lord Cho added that you could also steer a ship, so he failed to see its use.[2]
