Lord Rutledge is a suitor who had a brief interest in Marina Thompson.

History[]

Lord Rutledge came to the Featherington house to meet Marina. After they met, he agreed to try her out at an upcoming ball. Lady Featherington liked him for her because he was looking to marry immediately and wouldn't ask questions when she gave birth to a healthy newborn in six months.

At Lady Trowbridge's party, the two of them danced. After their second dance, he asked for a third, but she said three in a row wasn't proper and Colin Bridgerton stepped in to dance with her, giving her an excuse to leave.[1]

Lady Featherington later told Marina that Lord Rutledge had gotten engaged.[2]
