Philippa's Dowry[]
When her son got engaged to Philippa Featherington, she and her husband were concerned about her dowry being paid, as her father died and they were awaiting the arrival of the new heir. They asked Portia Featherington about him and if he had arrived to settle her dowry, but Portia feigned prolonged grief and they apologized, saying to let them know when she was more settled.[1]
Albion's Wedding[]
Mr. and Mrs. Finch attended the wedding between their son, and Philippa Featherington. After the ceremony, they asked to speak to Jack and asked where he was. Portia went to find him and Mrs. Finch asked her husband if the dowry had been paid. Mr. Finch assured her it had.[2]
