Prudence Huxley (née Featherington) is the sister of Penelope Bridgerton.
History[]
1813[]
Prudence is in her second season, along with her younger sister, Philippa, while Penelope is in her first season. At Lady Danbury's ball, their mother Portia introduces the three of them to Simon Basset, telling Simon that Prudence is skilled in the pianoforte, something Simon infers to be an exaggeration. Lady Danbury comes over, and sends Portia and her daughters away from Simon.
1824[]
Prudence is now married to Robert Huxley, a rather rowdy and obnoxious gentleman who still possesses a decent fortune. It took her five seasons to finally marry. Prudence is at a family meeting in Portia's home when Penelope arrives with Colin Bridgerton. Portia ignores and tries to push Penelope out of the room, and Prudence follows her lead, demanding Penelope come with her, despite Penelope refusing. When Colin finally steps in and tells Portia to dismiss everyone else but Penelope, Portia dismisses Robert and Prudence, who leaves rather reluctantly.
Personality[]
The eldest Featherington daughter, Prudence is as determined as her mother to secure herself a husband. Prudence is not considered beautiful, intelligent, or even kind, as she is driven by ambition and lacks sense.
