Theo Sharpe is a printer's assistant who fights for justice and women's rights.
History[]
Meeting Eloise[]
Theo was working at the print shop when Eloise Bridgerton came looking for information about Lady Whistledown, as she'd figured out that his shop was where her pamphlets were being printed. He denied knowing anything and asked why she'd come. She told him she wanted to talk to Lady Whistledown about the rights of women. Theo handed her a pamphlet entitled "Appeal in Defense of Women's Rights" and suggested she read it. He also mockingly told Eloise that he would tell Lady Whistledown Eloise said hi if he saw her.[1]
Printing Whistledown[]
Theo was in the print shop when a package came in from Genevieve, which contained a dress with the new Lady Whistledown sewn into the seam.[2]
Talking to Eloise[]
Theo was at the assembly rooms, where people were sharing their ideas for social reform. He was surprised to see Eloise there. She said she was there to talk to like-minded individuals. He introduced himself properly, but she said she already knew his name and wanted to tell him about all the errors in his arguments.[3]
When her brother's wedding to Edwina was abruptly halted, Eloise went back to see Theo again. She told him she'd begun thinking about him when she read things and asked if he thought about her as well. He brought out a stack of books and said he'd set them aside for her to read and discuss with him. She took the stack of books.[4]
When the queen accused Eloise of being Lady Whistledown and refused to believe she wasn't, Eloise came to see Theo, who said the queen had also had him questioned. Theo was upset that Eloise thought it was smart to come back and see him again after that, but Eloise wanted to get their stories straight. Theo said that her family and privilege would protect her, but he had no such protection. He told her to return to Mayfair before she got them both in more trouble.[5]
Helping Eloise[]
Eloise returned to the print shop after Theo sent her a note and a book. She asked him why he hadn't told her sooner that Whistledown was using their shop to print her pamphlets. He said he couldn't as long as she was watching him. That's why he ended things between them despite not wanting that. He didn't want Whistledown writing cruel things about Eloise, but she did that anyway. Theo said she'd taken her business elsewhere, but Eloise corrected that she'd stopped writing entirely. She asked Theo to tell her everything he knew and he did.
Eloise went back to Theo and they tried to work out who Whistledown was. After they shared a brief touch while picking up pamphlets Theo had knocked down, Eloise said they couldn't keep meeting like that. She apologized for wasting his time and left. People were already talking about them and normally, she didn't care, but she didn't want Theo to face consequences for her actions. Theo wished her luck and said she could go back to her privileged life while he went back to his.[6]

Eloise Bridgerton[]
Theo and Eloise met when she came to his print shop hoping to search for information on Lady Whistledown. Theo thought Eloise was trying to get gossip and they ended up bantering. After Eloise stood up for herself, Theo handed her an article about women's rights. They grew closer after Eloise came back to Theo to discuss what she thought about his work. They started meeting regularly, trying to figure out who Lady Whistledown was.
Eloise was happy around Theo as they talked to each other about many things. She kept sneaking out to him despite the danger. Penelope warned her that if people found out it would cause a great scandal as they belong to different classes.
Eloise told Theo that he was the one who came to her mind whenever she had thoughts about anything. Theo reciprocated her feelings, gave her some books to read as a gift, and asked her to continue sharing her thoughts. The two nearly kissed, but, afraid of people causing problems for Theo, Eloise took a step back. She told him that she really cared for him and that she couldn't live with herself if he had to face any consequences. Theo felt hurt, but wished her luck.
