Walter Dundas works for the crown, ensuring the lines of succession run smoothly.

History[]

Walter Dundas came to Will Mondrich's club, where he informed Will and Alice that Alice's great-aunt, Lady Kent, had died, and left her entire estate and the title of Baron of Kent to their son, Nicky.

He later went to see Portia Featherington and said he'd be investigating Portia's claim that Jack left a note leaving the estate and the title to one of her daughters as soon as one of them produced an heir. He said transferring the title to another family would be a lot of work, but he'd do it if the document turned out to be forged.[1]

Dundas returned to the Featherington house later to talk to Portia, but Mrs. Varley told him she wasn't home.[2]

He came back again and Mrs. Varley was unable to delay him any further. He said he'd talked to Portia's Aunt Petunia's neighbors and creditors and they agreed she'd lived in poverty, meaning she couldn't have given Portia the money as she claimed. He said he'd be submitting his discoveries to the Crown and recommend the title be transferred to another family. However, after Penelope revealed she was Lady Whistledown, she told her mother they could tell him that the money came from her publications in order to satisfy him.[3]
